This is the second year I have had the privilege of photographing this amazing family. Not only is LaTicia one of my dearest friends, but I just adore her family. Each time I photograph this family it usually has some element of the shoot added to it, to challenge my skills, and my patience. HAHA!
Last time I photographed them, they could only do it on one particular day, and everyone could only get together at 9p. So, we decided to do the photos in the living room of my home, using my lights and flash (which I don't normally use). This time around, they were able to all get together earlier in the day, but it was going to be as it was getting dark, so we had to hurry. Turns out, the weather had other ideas, and Mother Nature decided to only give us a 30 minute window to get all the of the shots, before it got completely dark from cloud cover and sunset, and before the monsoon-like down pour started.
It was definitely an eventful shoot, but I wouldn't trade doing these sessions for this family, for anything. I love them dearly, and am always excited when I get to photograph them. They are such a fun, sweet, loving family, and it is always a great time!
