McCann Sadies Event

A little while back, a very dear, close friend of mine asked if I would photograph her daughter and son's Sadie Hawkins Dance group. If you don't know what that is, it's a dance, usually done in high school, where the girl asks the boy to the dance, rather than the boy asking the girl, or "Ladies Choice". She explained that the parents of these kids were getting together and planning a whole day of events, so that the kids could save cost, and still have a lot of fun. When I heard that, I couldn't wait!! Plus, I would probably do anything for my sweet friend, so it didn't matter what it was. But, this sounded fun, so that was a perk. HA!

The morning of the dance, my friend and her husband were setting up their backyard for a bunch of "minute to win it" games. They are games where you have to do as much as you can, in a minute. These kids had a blast!..........and the parents didn't do too badly either!

After the games, everyone went home to clean up, and get ready for dinner, and then off to the dance! The parents of these kids planned a nice dinner at a friends house with all the trimmings! They even waited on the kids, while they sat at the dining room table with their sparkling cider, fine china, and good conversation. It was so sweet to see the parents working so hard to make this day so special for these amazing, good kids. It really warmed my heart.

These might be the coolest socks I have ever seen!

Thanks McCann family, and all of you amazing kids, for including me on such a fun, wonderful, and touching event!
